A treasury and a party

August 22, 2009

Well I am officially addicted to making these things. This is my second treasury and I wanted to include a couple of new shops to maybe help them get their first sale.

I wanted to capture the lazy happy feeling of a late summer day with nothing to do except sit under a tree with a good book. You can see it here for the next day and a half or so.

Even though it’s a bit grey here today I’ve got that lazy happy summer feeling too (probably what inspired the colour choices in the treasury). The reason is the celebration party we’re having this evening. What are we celebrating? Well a few months ago Matt asked me a rather special question that resulted in this…

We’re having a few friends and family round to celebrate with a glass of homemade elderflower bubbly.

Have a nice weekend!

April 18, 2009

There has been a lot happening around here in the last couple of weeks. The Easter holidays are our busiest time for children’s activities at the reserve and Matt and I are moving into a new flat next weekend! It’s very exciting but I haven’t had as much time for blogging as I’d like! I will try to catch up with some of the things we’ve been up to over the next few weeks as I have some nice pictures I want to share.

Some things that have been making me happy today….

Hedgerows adorned in white as the blackthorn comes into blossom

The look of astonishment on a small boy’s face as we explained how tadpoles turn into frogs by growing legs either side of their tail

Matt cooking me Chinese chicken with egg-fried rice

Finally getting a copy of Softies

A visit from my favourite one-eyed dog

I hope you’re having a nice weekend too!
